I create fine silver jewelry with a foundation in nature.  Using flowers, unique stones and shells, I make unique pieces that will never be duplicated exactly again.  These fine silver pieces are made with Precious Metal Clay (PMC). 

Many layers of thin clay are added, then shaped, and smoothed to perfection. The clay is then fired in my kiln at temperatures which burn away everything but the fine silver. The piece is then tumbled for a day to give it strength and shine!   I inspect them for perfection . . . they may need to go through the process again.  My PMC pieces take weeks (sometimes months) and are made with much care. 

I also make unique sterling silver creations using only the highest quality materials - STERLING SILVER, SWAROVSKI crystals and pearls, CZECH or MIYUKI glass beads.  The dichroic glass cabochons are melted in my kiln.   The handmade glass beads are flame worked using Murano glass.
 
I pay attention to every detail of every item!

Why jewelry?

I have always loved colorful gems and crystals. Just having them around makes me happy!

In 2002, I began taking jewelry making classes and found I enjoyed working with silver. Pounding on a piece of silver relieved the stress of long hours working in the corporate world. I truly enjoyed it!

I took classes in Precious Metal Clay - which I also enjoyed but, in a totally different way. It takes a lot of patience and detail to get a piece from clay to end product. And a lot of care not to break it!

I have taken classes in chain making, Dichroic Glass, and flame working. You will see some of all of this in my work.
